Rainy days
- Rumor has it —A game similar to "Whisper Down the Lane," but on paper. What started as a simple sentence has turned into something completely different along the way, and the misunderstandings can be both crazy and hilarious.
- Build a fort – Building a fort or castle out of pillows and blankets is a super fun activity for rainy days. Fill it with toys, books, and maybe even a treat.
Sunny days
- Water Games – When the heat sets in, there’s nothing better than cooling off with a fun water game! A water fight is the ultimate activity for hot summer days and is perfect for both kids and adults. If you haven’t tried a battery-powered water gun yet, give it a try!
- Skating Rink –Fill a long tarp or plastic sheet with water and dish soap to create a slippery “skating rink.” Just like that, you’ll have your very own water park right at home!
- Treasure Hunt – Print out a map or give clues to find a hidden treasure in the garden, in a park, or perhaps at a playground. To make it even more exciting, you can give your kids tasks to complete at each stop, such as hopping on one leg or singing a song. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, this activity works great indoors, too. Good luck!
